Blue Pills, Chad Ruger,

Analyze: Idea, Secondary
The main focus of this comic seems to be the characters and their development and how they deal.  The vehicle is the idea of what it might be/is like to deal with HiV in a strong relationship.  It's an intersting subject because it sheds light on a subject that is often swept under the rug.  And it was addressed and told very well.

Rating: R
Language and Sex

Springboard:
Surprisingly, what the author didn't really need to know alot about was HiV.  It also seems that not a ton fo research needed to be done since the work is purely autobiographical.

Apply:
I think the best application from this story that I could find was that of taking from your actual life story and implimenting it somehow in your story.  The interest that it adds is huge because when you draw from life, you add reality to your story.
